Jimmy aka "Jimbo"
was born in the famous NASCAR town
of Martinsville, Virginia on December 16th, 1950.
As a child,
he also lived in Richmond and Roanoke, Virginia.
When Jimmy was 10, his family moved
to the little town of Flushing, Michigan
which is just outside of Flint.
A few years later, after his parents got divorced,
Jimmy relocated as a teenager to Detroit, Michigan.
Barely out of high school, Hunter ended up
a top professional Detroit area drummer
and eventually moved to Los Angeles
at age 25 in 1975 to drum for keyboardist
Ray Manzarek RIP of The Doors'
mid 70's Supergroup, NITE CITY in 1976.



After a celebrated drumming career
followed by his 30 year tenure as a
musican / studio-owner / producer.
Today, Hunter skillfully blends his brand
of unique country influenced stylings
with his Blues, Motown and Rock 'n' Roll experience,
sensibilities and nuances.
